CHATHAM,
MA – The Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame Committee announced today
that it has begun accepting donations from individuals and families to
help the establishment of the Hall of Fame.
While corporate sponsorships will
ultimately be solicited and accepted by the CCBL Hall of Fame, individual
fans are being given this unique opportunity to be remembered in perpetuity
as founding members of the Hall of Fame. For a minimum of $100, fans from
far and wide will have their names inscribed upon a plaque to be permanently
housed and displayed at the Hall of Fame. These founding members will be
known as The CCBL Hall of Fame Starting Lineup.
The CCBL Hall of Fame will induct
its first class of honorees at an induction ceremony at the Chatham Bars
Inn, Chatham, MA on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001. Tickets for the event will
be offered to the public at $30 apiece and will go on sale Dec. 1.
Anyone interested in making a donation
toward the establishment of the Hall of Fame Starting Lineup should make
a check or money order payable to the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of
Fame and mail it directly to:
