Bourne takes playoff opener

The Bourne Braves, looking for their first-ever Cape Cod Baseball League title, moved to within a game of the finals Tuesday afternoon by defeating Cotuit, 3-1, behind the pitching of Brad Lincoln at Coady Field in Bourne.

Lincoln gave up five hits and struck out five Kettleers in his six innings. Romas Hicks earned the save, shutting down Cotuit the final two innings.

Cotuit took a 1-0 lead in the second, but the Braves picked up single runs in the third, sixth and eighth innings
