It’s time for the seventh inning stretch, folks! Opening day for the Cape Cod Baseball League is June 15. 

After this weekend’s military match, the official 2006 season kicks off Thursday night with games around the Cape. 

The Hyannis Mets face the Y-D Red Sox at McKeon Park in Hyannis at 5 p.m., while the Cotuit Kettleers travel to Bourne for their opener. 

With a number of promising players on both rosters, this promises to be an exciting baseball season. Be sure to check the Patriot for results, player profiles and information on your favorite team.
