In baseball, as in so many other sports, it’s amazing how quickly things can change. In the past two weeks the Hyannis Mets have surged ahead of the Cotuit Kettleers to claim the number three spot in the Western Division, giving them a solid shot at the end of the season playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Cotuit Kettleers have fallen to the bottom of the list, tied for last place with the Wareham Gatemen. While hopes remain for a place in the upcoming playoffs, only nine crucial games remain for Cotuit.
