Brewer has four home runs and 18 RBIs. James Darnell is tied for second place on the list of players hitting the most homers with six this season and also has batted 18 RBI’s. Stohr boasts an ERA of 2.08 for his team with 14 strikeouts.

For the Kettleers, Lindblom is tied with several others for having notched four wins in the season. He has a 3.29 ERA and 26 strikeouts. Shortstop Havens, a return player from the 2006 season who was on the All-Star team last year, has been having a stellar year with numerous hits, batting .299 with two homers and 17 RBIs. Newcomer Stock has impressed fans with his three homers as well as his skills behind the plate and on the mound.

Although the All-Star game doesn’t officially begin until 6 p.m. at Spillane Field in Wareham, the day’s events begin when the gates open at 1 p.m.

The East Division will hold batting practice and an autograph and media session at 1:45, followed by the West Division’s turn at 2:45. At 4 p.m. folks can watch the best of the batters slug it out in a home run hitting contest.

At 5:15 the players from each team will be introduced for the official lineup followed by the presentation of colors and the singing of the National Anthem. After the first pitch is thrown, the 45th CCBL All-Star game will get underway.

Post-game excitement includes the choosing of the game MVP by local scouts and the presentation of awards by CCBL President Judy Scarafile and Commissioner Paul Galop.

On August 1, both All-Star teams will be honored during a special evening at Fenway Park before taking in a Red Sox game.
