Harwich takes game one, 11-2

The Mariners scored eight runs on their way to an 11-2 victory over Cotuit in game one the best-of-three championship series of the Cape League. Jason Stidham went 3-for-3 and drove in seven runs as the Mariners knocked around Cotuit starter Seth Blair for 13 hits and scored 10 runs. Harwich starter Mike Morrison allowed only two earned runs in six-plus innings of work. The Mariners will look for their eighth-straight win at home tonight, which would give them the CCBL championship. Harwich will send Chris Manno, who was a perfect 3-0 during the regular, to the mound during Thursday nights game in Harwich.
