Cape League results for June 19

Brewster 8, Bourne 2
Brewster pitchers Mark Lamm and Rory McKean allowed just five hits total and center fielder Nate Lape provided all the offense with two hits and two RBI as the Whitecaps rolled to a 8-2 over Bourne on Thursday. Lamm picked up the win, striking out six in five innings of work. McKean pitched the remaining four innings, striking out five and not allowing a run. Brandon Bantz had a apir of hits for the Braces, who'll get a rematch against the Whitecaps tonight, this time in Bourne.

Falmouth 7, Chatham 6
The A's scored four times in the top of the seventh inning, but Falmouth responded with the eventual winning run in the bottom of the inning. Four Falmouth pitchers, Alex Wilson, Chris Gloor, Evan Danielli and Ben Tootle combined to lead the Commodores to victory. Chatham's Grant Green went two-for-three with three runs scored including a homerun, while Robert Papenhause had a pair of hits and a pair of RBI. Falmouth's Ryan Jones had a homerun, one of 13 hits pounded out by the Commodores. Chatham will travel to Cotuit tonight, while Falmouth will play Harwich.

Hyannis 6, Y-D 4
The Mets won their third game of the season while the defending league champs dropped to 1-3-1. Hyannis' Dale Cornstubble went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, while Andy Wilkens had a pair of RBI for the Mets. The Red Sox will travel to Wareham while the Mets host Orleans.
