Cape League results for June 21

Chatham 5, Brewster 4
Corey Holtzer doubled in J.R. Higley in the top of eighth inning for the eventual winning run as the A's defeated cross-town rival Brewster 5-4. Brad Boxberger picked up his second save of the summer with a perfect, three strikeout performance. Nate Lape went 2-for-4 with his league leading third homerun of the summer and had two RBI. Weather permitting, Brewster will play at Wareham while Chatham hosts Falmouth.

Falmouth 11, Y-D 7
The Commodores scored 11 runs on 15 hits as they cruised to a 11-7 win over Y-D. Ryan Jones hit a solo homerun in the seventh inning and Joey Wong had a three hit night. Greg Miclat had three hits for the Red Sox. Y-D will host Harwich, while Falmouth will play Chatham.

Harwich 5, Cotuit 3
Chris Manno struck out five while allowing an earned run on three hits to pick up his first win of the season. Joe Sanders went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored. He's currently batting .385 and is tied for the league lead with four doubles. Cotuit will play Orleans today while Harwich travels to Y-D.

Hyannis 4, Wareham 1
Hyannis picked up their West-leading fifth win of the year with 4-1 win over Wareham. Ben Paulsen knocked in two runs on three hits while Chris Dominguez had a pair of hits. Brett Eibner went 2-for-3 in the loss. Hyannis starter Andrew Carraway won his second game of the season, pitching five strong innings, allowing three hits and striking out seven. Hyannis will play Bourne this afternoon at 2 p.m., while Wareham hosts Brewster.

Bourne 6, Orleans 1
The Cardinals only managed five hits as they lost to Bourne 6-1. Jordan Henry, Kyle Roller and Stephen Batts all had a pair of hits for the Braves. Tony Plagman had the lone RBI for Orleans. They'll play Cotuit tonight, while Bourne hosts Hyannis.
