Cape League results for June 22

Hyannis 4, Bourne 3
A wild start by the Braves translated into an early lead and an eventual 4-3 win by the Mets. Hyannis only had four total hits on the night, two by third baseman Chris Dominguez, but earned 10 walks. Dominguez and Luke Murton had the only RBI for the Mets. Jamie Johnson went 3-for-5 for the Braves in the loss. Bourne will host Cotuit while Hyannis hosts Harwich.

Chatham 6, Falmouth 5
After tying the game at five with two runs in the seventh inning, Falmouth walked in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as the A's won 6-5. Reliever Jeff Lorick picked up the win, tossing two shutout innings. Devin Lohman went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI for Chatham. Darin Ruf had a pair of hist and an RBI in the loss. The Commodores will host Wareham while the A's play Y-D.

Brewster 8, Wareham 0
Whitecaps starter Tim Clubb picked up his second win of the season as he pitched seven innings, allowing only six hits and a walk, while not giving up a run. Ty Kelly had three hits to raise his average to .406 to start the season. Ryan Wheeler hit his second homerun of the season and drove in three runs. Brewster will host Orleans, while Wareham will play Falmouth.

Y-D 6, Harwich 4
Craig Fritsch won his first game after striking out five in more than six innings pitched. Andrew Giobbi had a pair of RBI for the Mariners. Nick Liles raised his league-leading batting average to .484 after a three hit night. Y-D will play Chatham tonight while Harwich travels to Hyannis.
