The Commodores have rebounded from a 1-2 start to win five of their last six games heading into Tuesday’s scheduled game at Brewster and stand in second place in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Western Division behind the Hyannis Mets.

Hebron, Conn. native AJ Pollock, a sophomore from Notre Dame, has had the hot bat and is ranked third in the league with a .412 average. Teammate Darin Ruf is at .375, also among the top 10 hitters in the league and Ryan Jones of Wichita has a pair of home runs.

Meanwhile, the pitching staff has produced a 3.50 ERA, led by Chris Gloor’s eight innings of one-hit ball in relief. Gloor has not allowed an earned run, struck out five and walked only one batter. Chad Bettis of Texas Tech has picked up two of the Commodores’ five wins.
