Cape League results for June 25

Brewster 9, Falmouth 9
The Whitecaps took a two-run lead into the ninth but couldn't hang on for the win as Falmouth scored a pair of unearned runs on three passed balls to tie their game with Brewster 9-9. Connor Powers went 2-for-4 with four RBI and Ryan Wheeler continued his hot start to the season with a 2-for-3 night. A.J. Pollack went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs scored to pace the Commodores. With the tie, Brewster moves into a first place tie with Harwich in the East Division. They'll play at Hyannis tonight while Falmouth hosts Orleans.

Cotuit 8, Bourne 3
Nate Garcia went five innings, giving up only one hit and an unearned run to pick up the win, while the Kettleers extended their lead in the West Division. Cotuit scored six runs in the first two innings and cruised from there. Mike Bianucci had a pair of hist and drove in a pair of runs in the win. Cotuit will host Y-D, while Bourne hosts Chatham.

Harwich 6, Wareham 1,
Brian Kemp went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs batted in as the Mariners leapfrogged Y-D to tie Brewster with the top spot in the East Division. Harwich starter J.J. Hoover picked up his first win of the summer as he went six innings, allowing only one earned run on six hits. He also struck out seven batters. Harwich will host Wareham again tonight.
