Cape League results for July 29

Chatham 9, Orleans 8
The first place Cardinals had their latest winning-streak snapped with a walk-off win for local rival Chatham on Tuesday. The A's picked up the win, which puts them four points back from second place Harwich in the East, on a hit by Evan Ocheltree that drove in two runs. Ocheltree had three hits on the night and drove in three runs. Orleans' Angelo Songco, fresh off his win in the home run hitting contest in last weekends All Star game, hit a three run home run in the first inning for the Cardinals. Both teams have the night off.

Bourne 8, Cotuit 8
The Braves and the Kettleers fought to a tie on Tuesday night before darkness set in. Kyle Patterson had three hits for Cotuit while Brad Stephenson had three hits for the Braves. Both teams have the night off.

Falmouth 3, Hyannis 1
In a battle for first place in the West, the Commodores won their fourth game in a row as Jorge Reyes won his third game of the summer, going five innings, allowing an earned run on five hits while striking out nine. Falmouth now holds a three point lead over Hyannis with seven games to go in the season. Both teams have the night off.

Brewster 7, Harwich 5

In a battle of last place teams, the Red Sox scored seven runs in the second inning to roll to victory. Tony Sanchez had three hits for the Red Sox while Aaron Baker had a pair of hits for Wareham. Both teams have the night off.
