Cape League results for August 7

REGIONAL -

Harwich 13, Brewster 2
In their final game of the summer, the Whitecaps couldn't keep down the Mariners as they lost 13-2. The Mariners will play at Orleans Saturday night in game one of the East playoffs.

Cotuit 3, Hyannis 1
The West champions knocked out the Mets with a 3-1 score on Thursday night. Cotuit will play either Falmouth or Bourne on Saturday night. 

Falmouth 5, Hyannis 1
The Commodores stayed in a second place tie with Bourne with their win over the Mets. They play the Braves tonight in a play-in game.

Orleans 9, Chatham 4
The Cardinals won their season finale as they get set to host Harwich on Saturday night in game one of the East playoffs.

Wareham 5, Chatham 4
Both teams ended their summer season. Wareham finished in last place while Chatham finished fourth in the East.

Bourne 2, Wareham 1
The Braves needed a win to earn a tie with Falmouth for the final playoff spot in the West and that's exactly what they did, holding the Gatemen to three hits and one run.

Cotuit 6, YD 3
The Red Sox closed out their season with a loss to the West champion Kettleers. Cotuit will play either Falmouth or Bourne on Saturday night following their play-in game tonight.
